Quantum Technology to Take ’Markets to Mars’
JPMorgan Chase and Infleqtion have unveiled an open-source quantum software library aimed at enhancing efficiency in quantum applications. The innovation addresses a critical barrier in quantum computing: the excessive hardware scale required for fault tolerance. By reducing the number of physical qubits needed by 10 to 100 times, the library could accelerate quantum computing’s practical adoption.
Brad Levy, CEO of Symphony, warns that quantum computing may disrupt foundational business operations, including encryption methods. The technology’s exponential speed, enabled by qubits, poses both opportunities and risks for financial markets and digital assets.
